Principal Security/Network Engineer
A dynamic NZ National IT company with a leading edge and Professional Management team require a network engineers with solid hands on experience with security products to plan, design and develop LAN and WAN across the organisation.
You will participate with the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimisation of all network hardware, software, and communication links
You will be responsible for :
• Determining security needs, developing and implementing solutions, and creating and enforcing security policies.
• Monitor VPNs, server logs, firewall logs, intrusion detection logs, and network traffic for unusual or suspicious activity. Interpret activity and implement plans for resolution.
• Ensure the integrity and confidentiality of information residing in corporate databases, workstations, servers, and other systems.
• Plan, design, and implement all security systems and their corresponding or associated software, including firewall, VPNs, intrusion detection systems, cryptography systems, biometrics, and anti-virus software.
• Design and deploy company LANs, WANs, and wireless networks, including, routers, hubs, switches and other hardware.
Ideally you will have :
• Extensive experience with VPN technologies and security products such as floodgate, Checkpoint, Firewall, Cisco Ix, Cisco IOS FW with at least 3-5 years experience in a similar role.
• Pre sales/consulting and basic design skills and disaster recovery testing ability
• Problem troubleshooting, resolution and network documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
CCSA, CCSP, CCNP
